Where is zul farrak in tanaris

This is useful if your group is not strong, because you can fight Bly on his own. That way you can complete your rod quest an easy way. A good group composition would require a tank, an adept healer and an AOE, mage being the best class, due to their large range of AOE attacks. AOE is essential for certain boss fights and non-elite trash mobs, unless you want to clear individual mobs.

This instance can be extremely tough in places, depending on player level, and careful pulling is of critical importance. It is far too easy here, when attempting to pull one mob, to accidentally pull more, and for the group to then wipe because they underestimate the mobs' strength.

It is also extremely important to avoid opening too many of the graves inside the instance and unleashing all of the zombies at once, since doing so will quickly lead to the group being overrun. The treasure available here is of good quality, with a large array of green items and a decent drop rate of silver and cloth, as well as some leather from the basilisks which accompany the trolls in certain places.

While multiple Hunters and pets can serve as a makeshift replacement for a Warrior in a group if a Warrior is unavailable, this strategy is likely to cause wipes and is to be avoided if at all possible. That being said, Feral Druids and Paladins are fully capable of tanking the instance. The instance is almost completely outside, allowing for the use of mounts. This instance is one of the last major ones that players will experience before the Blackrock Mountain complex and the commencement of serious raiding.

As such, also given the level of difficulty, it provides an excellent environment for players to develop the group co-ordination skills and depth of familiarity with their characters that they will need before moving on to such places. If you think you're good at running an instance group, ZF will provide you with an opportunity to discover whether or not that perception is accurate.

Zul'Farrak should be treated with respect even by higher level players. Look them up, and you'll see that this may take more than a few Zul'Farrak-runs. Hell, it will probably take more that a few scores of runs - but I believe the reward is worth it. I just thought it deserved a comment! Comment by Thottbot zf if great instance. I realize how crazy this sounds, but me, the hunter, and the warlock all used our pets to tank. It worked out okay, actually.

I only had to rez my pet times. I have a tendency to poke things, and in Zul'Farrak that explodes in your face easily. There are other, safer places to attack them. If you attack one, all the ones within range will attack. Since I had the scarab quest, I ended up attacking. Nobody died in my case, but we were lucky. Eventually, you'll get to a room where there are a ton of shallow graves with the 'open' gear symbol on them when you mouse over.

I have no idea what happens, fortunately, because I was warned not to touch them. I'm betting it's unpleasant, though, and probably involves zombies, if the next 'trap' is any indication In the shallow grave room, there's a green troll with a chest next to him.

If you go into his little room thinger, he freaks out, turns red, and summons about a billion zombies. Inside the chest it has a weird name we found only silver, so no, it's not worth dying. When you're freeing the prisoners, be ready before you free them. A ton of trolls will appear at the bottom of the stairs and come up in waves. Fortunately, all the elite guys in the cage will help you the trolls are not elite with a few exceptions. It's not too hard, but be ready. Wait untill you are totally ready.

When you talk to them, they will all go aggro on you. When you're going for the cheif, there are basilisks and big snakey things around the corners, out of sight. Be ready for them. I'm actually usually pretty intellegent. Comment by Thottbot This is the straightforward way to do the quest, there may be other ways where you avoid the fight, but this way lets you take down a full 8 bosses including the Zul'Farrak Chieftain behind the locked gate.

Clear the courtyard area around the steps. Your party will get feared and they'll add into the fight later if you don't kill them now. Go up the steps and kill the Executioner. Someone in the party takes his key. Whoever has the key opens the cages to start the Event. Stay BACK behind Bly's group and let them do most of the fighting waves of nonelite trolls with a few elites. All you have to do is keep Bly and the goblin alive, and make sure to handle any aggro on your healers.

It's best not to use AoE of any kind even warrior's debuff shout , just single-target DPS until that phase of the fight is over. Casters and healers can break combat and mana up if they run oom.

Follow Bly's group down the stairs and help them take out the 2 troll bosses one of them drops the Big Bad Voodoo Mask. He runs away and opens the gate leading back to the troll chieftain who drops Big Bad plate shoulders. Now talk to Bly before his group teleports after minutes they port out. If the dwarf priestess is still up take her out first. If you have not cleared the nearby graveyard, he will periodically summon zombies from the graves to attack your group, which will cause the encounter to be much more difficult.

Shadowpriest Sezz'ziz is also a very easy boss, so long as you clear the 98 Trolls in the pyramid event before pulling him and Nekrum Gutchewer at the end to finish off exactly trolls! Chief Ukorz Sandscalp is the boss of the Sandfury Trolls you found along the way, and a relatively easy boss. Just make sure to have him turned away from the rest of your group during the fight, as he has several cleave attacks that hit everything in front of him.

Also, you will need to deal with Ruuzlu at the same time, but this should not be too hard to handle at this level. This item can then be used at the altar on the top of Jintha'Alor around 58,76 in The Hinterlands , which is an area full of high level elites, in order to create the Mallet of Zul'Farrak , which can be used to summon Gahz'rilla in Zul'Farrak.

You are not required to have this item yourself, as long as at least one party member has it and rings the gong with it. Gahz'rilla itself is a Level 46 elite Hydra, whose most dangerous attack is a knockback that can send unaware players into uncleared packs or out of range of healing. As long as the area is reasonably clear and you stand against a wall or other movement-blocking object, you will have nothing to fear from this mechanic.

It is impressive that trolls separated for thousands of years build a new town using the same construction methods known only to their ancestors thousands of years and miles away. It is said that an ancient weapon, Sul'thraze the Lasher , is held by the trolls within Zul'Farrak, and another legend says that a mighty demigod sleeps within a sacred pool inside the village.
